Mrs. Oster’s back pain was so severe she could barely walk. “I couldn’t even roll over in bed to give my new husband a hug. When I’d get up, I could hardly walk. I was really reluctant to go to a chiropractor because I didn’t think that that had anything to do with my issues,” said Oster. “Dr. Patterson has improved the quality of life. Each time I come in, I feel good. I feel like (Patterson has) done wonderful things for me and my back.”

Patterson practices conservative care, which is less invasive than surgery, and he emphasizes viewing a patient as a whole person, decompression manipulation and exercise. “We instruct patients how to do in-home exercises to assist in flexibility and the strengthening of their core,” Patterson said. “Therapy modalities to reduce pain, inflammation and nutrition may also be used to aid in the progress.”
